Hello, my name is Jolia Thadal. I am currently a senior at Robbinsville High School and this is my third year with the robotics team. After hearing about the program through classmates, my curiosity grew and I began to inquire about Team Nemesis and the FIRST organization. I always had a passion for technology, to the extent I wanted to become a computer teacher. This may have started as a spontaneous declaration but it ended up guiding me to pursue the field of technology.
On the team, I was a member of the software and web team. Members of the software team help program the robot using National Instrument’s Labview programming language. As part of the web team, I am utilizing other coding languages for the current Nemesis website. This year, I am honored to serve as the team’s Chief Creative Officer because I have the experience of creating and managing the team’s creative assets. Overall, I am enjoying my overall involvement with the team because it encourages me to use my creativity and technical skills.
Outside of robotics, I am the editor-in-chief of Robbinsville High School's Yearbook committee and serving as the historian of the Technology Student Association. In my free-time I volunteer for various charities and organizations. Some of my favorite pastimes include: listening to music by emerging independent artists and watching documentaries. Over the years, I have grown to become an avid fan of the Olympic & Paralympic movement because of how it brings the world together.
